Culture Shock Events is the end product of the amalgamation of 2 recognised Australian convention brands, FSF Presents and RCEvents. Between them, Rob Brown and Robbie Buonaccorsi have over 2 decades worth of experience in the Australian fan convention market.
The formation of Culture Shock Events enabled these respected promoters to bring under one banner most of the East Coast conventions. With a partnership with other promoters in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide Culture Shock has the opportunity to entice guests to Australia with more attractive "tour" options. Culture Shock, with the combined finances of 2 convention organisations also has the spending power to run larger events and also attract those guests who are much wanted but previously were out of the budget of a lone organisation.

Rob Brown and Robbie Buonaccorsi (the two Robs, Humpty and Dumpty, Heckle and Jeckle) both from Sydney, have been running FSF for the past 12 years. This is one of the longest serving fan clubs in Australia and the largest general science fiction club in terms of members. The club has also been able to run its own convention events for the past 10 years. Within the industry amongst actors, agents and production companies, FSF has a wonderful reputation and is known for its fun and friendly events. Rob Brown has also gone on to develop RCEvents.
