Heroes and Villains brings to the public something just a little bit new and different to the pop culture event scene with an event purposely built for the fans. Our aim was to create an event that had a specific focus that would cut accross the myriad of genres that come together in poular culture. Everyone loves a Heroe and evenyone loves to hate a Villain so whether it be sci fi, fantasy, horror, general tv and film, gaming, anime and animation we know you will want to be at Heroes and Villains.
We also wanted to ensure that the format of the event was recognisable with our already existing events such as Armageddon. Heroes and Villains will not be a substitute for Armageddon or any larger expos in the market place but something to complement our Armageddon brand. A way of filling the gap between our more intimate convention events and the massive expos you have come to know and love.
Heroes and Villains will be an event that has purposely been taken to the masses. We have deliberately decided to take this event out into the suburbs. Western Sydney has the largest growing population in all of the country and our main audience in Sydney largely lives in Sydney's western and southwestern suburbs. It's time an event was taken into an area that will be of benefit to that entire community.
This first event in Penrith will be held at one of Sydney's most well known Club and Entertainment venues. Not only does a huge part of the population of Sydney surround it but for those travelling it is easily reached by public transport including trains and has its own dedicated carpark.
Heroes and Villains will bring to the fans all you expect from an event of this kind. Celebrity guests from the realms of film, televsion, anime/animation and comics as well as a large retail dealers area with a huge range of collectables and merchandise at great prices. There will be gaming in as many formats as we can make happen, screanings of upcoming film and tv, panels and q&a sessions, masterclasses and workshops and not to forget Cosplay. For those inclined to do so, feel free to come and be seen in your tv, film, anime, animation or gaming costumes.
At the end of the day, we expect our move out to the masses for this Sydney event to be a highlight of the pop culture event year. If all goes well, in the near future there maybe a Heroes and Villains in other cities and states as well.
