Robert Englund's career has spanned nearly four decades. A classically trained stage actor, Mr. Englund became a well-known character actor in the 1970's.

He co-starred as Willie, the gentle alien Visitor in the classic mini-series V, its sequel V: THE FINAL BATTLE, and the V television series (1984-1985). It was during a break between V projects that Robert Englund donned the Freddy Kruger make-up and the now famous sweater and finger-knives glove for the first time in Wes Craven's A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984).

Freddy Kruger soon became a household name, and the phenomenal successes of the ELM STREET films helped to make New Line Cinema into a major player in the film industry; indeed, The House that Freddy built. Robert Englund added Director to his resume in 1988 with the release of 976-EVIL.

On the impact of Freddy Kruger, Robert Englund said:

I once saw an entire magazine of Freddy Krueger tattoos. Here I was, this classically trained actor who had done Shakespeare, and now there are hundreds of people walking around all over the world with my tattoo on them. I just take it as a pop culture compliment.

In 2009 Robert wrote his critically acclaimed and best selling autobiography HOLLYWOOD MONSTER.

In addition to recent guest roles on TV's BONES and CHUCK and the Chicago-filmed feature The Mole Man of Belmont Avenue, Robert stars as a demonic killer in the new feature film Inkubus.
