A veteran Australian actor, author, and producer, Roger Ward was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Roger Ward has performed in movies such as DALMAS (1973), Sandy Harbutt's classic, STONE (1974), and LADY STAY DEAD (1981) in which he portrayed Officer Clyde Collings. Roger's work has been adapted to the big screen with THE SET (1970) which he also produced.
Roger is best remembered for his portrayal of 'Captain Fifi' in MAD MAX (1979), and as 'Chief Guard Ritter' in the Ozploitation classic TURKEY SHOOT (1982).
Despite having a career that started long before his well documented performances in the now classic films, STONE, MAN FROM HONG KONG, TURKEY SHOOT and MAD MAX, Roger Ward was delighted to be a major part of the recent docudrama NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD; and was doubly delighted when Director Joseph Sims and Producer Steven Caldwell, having seen him in the AFI winner, offered him the part of 'Voyte' in the recently produced serial killer thriller BAD BEHAVIOUR.
"I felt the same excitement that I experienced when George Miller knocked on my door and offered me the role of Captain Fifi. BAD BEHAVIOUR definitely has the same appeal".
Beginning his acting career at the age of 12, Roger has now appeared in nearly 80 features and over 2,000 television productions. He has sold two of his novels for film and later this year will be publishing THE SET, from which the controversial film was made.
