Shock Horror: The Nightmare Returns Update
As a convention promoter I often have to be the bearer of bad news...but we always like to have good news that goes with it.
I guess you're wondering where that is going...well I have some bad news (or is it scary news when dealing with Horror guests) but then also some happy news, just like at the end of the movie J
Firstly the scary news...it is with much sadness that we have to announce that Heather Langenkamp, Thommy Hutson and Tony Todd can no longer make it to the event in May.
You may remember the main reason for postponing the show from last year was because Heather couldn't make it, we've decided to surge ahead this time regardless, one postponement is enough, and Robert is biting at the bit to get here.
We are working with all of them to still get them out here, I told them that they weren't getting out of it that easily.
This came in from Thommy and Heather...
Due to professional commitments, Heather Langenkamp and Thommy Hutson have regretfully informed us they will not be able to attend the show in May. Heather and Thommy were truly very excited to meet fans in Australia, but due to their professional schedules the dates were not able to work. Heather and Thommy are truly sorry and hope to rebook at a later date so they can still meet the great fans who attend Shock Horror!
Now for the happy ending everyone loves about a movie.
Heather put in some phone calls for us to her friends and we have a couple of them that have said yes to heading down under to hang with us. So joining us for Shock Horror: The Nightmare Returns are A Nightmare on Elm Street alumni LISA WILCOX ('Alice' in Elm St 4 & 5) and also KEN SAGOES (Kincaid in Elm St 3 & 4). Lisa also worked with Robert recently on his series Fear Clinic. Also, Ken was the first black actor to survive a major Horror film...so that's great that he has survived long enough to join us.
We're very excited about having these guys join us in May (as they were on our list for next year anyway).
Also, there is a possibility of more guests being added to the line up...so stay tuned!

Our first guest for Licence to Thrill is Australia's own James Bond MR GEORGE LAZENBY from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. George's other credits include Australia's first ever martial arts film, and an Ozploitation classic, The Man From Hong Kong.

OzTrek 7 Event Guest Changes
We have some sad news...but also some happy news.
Firstly the sad news, due to some unforeseen circumstances I'm afraid the Duras sisters (Barbara March & Gwynyth Walsh) will no longer be joining us at the event. We are working with them all to try and get them down for a future OzTrek event...so keep an eye out.
Happily we have been able to secure a more than suitable replacement guest for OzTrek 7 with fan favorite the beautiful Chase Masterson joining Walter in Sydney. Chase of course is best known as sexy Bajoran Dabo girl 'Leeta' on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Chase was named one of the world's "50 Sexiest Women" by the men's magazine Femme Fatales, and the "Favorite Science Fiction Actress on Television" in a TV Guide reader's poll. In December 2009, AOL named her one of the "Ten Sexiest Aliens on TV", reporting that "Masterson is regularly voted the most popular guest at Star Trek conventions.
Tickets for OzTrek 7 are still available.
